The flavour of vanilla and soy (or miso) together is so brilliant I wish I could take credit for it. Sweet and salty, like a subtle caramel ice cream, but with a distinct savoury umami flavour lingering underneath the vanilla beans making them taste even more vanilla-y for lack of a better word. It is incredibly craveable, one I can’t stop eating because it just hits all of my sweet spots.
I have devious plans of serving the ice cream with miso-honey braised pineapple and a pecan crumble, but would love to hear suggestions for what you’d serve it with!
